Kane Williamson continued his energetic run form in the Test series against South Africa at home, as he scored a remarkable century in the second Test on Friday, achieving his fourth match-winning century in the series. He prevented the South African bowling attack on a great pitch at Seddon Park, New Zealand, hitting 267 runs alone which turned the tables and sealed an unlikely win.

In the last four innings, Kane Williamson marked his third century in this series, proving himself to be the world’s number one Test batter. He began the series with scores of 118 and 109 in the first Test which makes him fifth New Zealand Batter to score double century in the Test matches.

Kane Williamson’s 203 runs in the second Test on the final day, displayed his impressive performance leading New Zealand to a victory against South Africa. With his hundred, he topped all other batters who could not even score 30 plus runs, highlighting his crucial role in New Zealand’s much needed victory.

In the first innings in Hamilton, he has faced 43 balls before getting out by the off-spinner Dane Piedt, but he could not repeat the same in the second innings. Despite praises from Seddon Park audience in stands for his heroic effort with the bat, he fell short this time. However, his wonderful performance in preventing South Africa reflects his exceptional skills.

This accomplishment sets Kane Williamson on same level as of Australia’s Steve Waugh and Steve Smith, making it his 32nd Test century.
